OpenX Elevates Tyler Romasco to SVP, Global Publisher Development

OpenX Technologies, Inc., one of the world’s leading omnichannel supply-side platforms, today (January 28th, 2025) announced the promotion of Tyler Romasco to SVP, global publisher development, from VP, US publisher development. The expansion of Romasco’s role strengthens OpenX’s global publisher focus and expertise in helping publishers monetise their content.

Romasco, who joined OpenX in 2019, will be responsible for driving OpenX’s publisher growth throughout North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Romasco’s demonstrated success in scaling publisher partnerships, including CTV and OTT, will be fundamental in replicating that growth with key publishers in new markets.

Romasco’s global purview will include publisher business development, integrations, operations, account management, and customer-focused engineering. These teams will continue to work closely with publishers to leverage OpenX’s global data, identity and curation assets to improve brand-to-customer connections and boost yield, ultimately driving incremental publisher revenue.

“Publishers are at the core of everything that we do. As our industry experiences significant changes on the identity, CTV, AI, and consumer privacy fronts, I’m looking forward to ensuring OpenX is a trusted advisor when it comes to monetisation, data, identity, and privacy-first solutions that drive business outcomes,” says Tyler Romasco, SVP, global publisher development at OpenX. “I’m so proud of OpenX’s incredibly smart and talented teams across the globe who are working relentlessly to solve the most pressing customer challenges and deliver superior results for our partners, including in biddable CTV, where TV by OpenX has increased publishers’ monetised impressions by 22%.”

Romasco joined OpenX as senior director of business development, quickly playing a key role in expanding OpenX’s offerings across web, app, and CTV while positioning the company as a leader in omnichannel supply-side solutions. Throughout his tenure at OpenX, Romasco has been a strong advocate for publishers, pushing the industry forward when it comes to creating standards for the trust and transparency publishers deserve. In this new role, he will report to John Gentry, CEO, and join the executive team.

“Not only is Tyler known for being innovative and solution-oriented, but he has also been instrumental in our CTV expansion, pushing the industry to better leverage biddable CTV solutions and generating considerable incremental revenue for streaming platforms and broadcasters as a result,” says John Gentry, CEO at OpenX. "Tyler’s strength as a people leader, the relationships and respect he’s built in the industry, and his role as a key partner to our buyer development organisation will be invaluable as OpenX continues to expand its global publisher footprint."

Prior to joining OpenX, Romasco was head of strategic partnerships at Sizmek, where he managed sales and business strategy teams working with leading publishers, agencies, and brands. He has also held leadership positions at Rocket Fuel, helping global buyers drive programmatic business goals, and led client service teams at Pandora.
