YouTube Expands Shopping Affiliate Programme to India

Expanding the reach of its existing shopping features, YouTube has partnered with Walmart-owned e-commerce giant Flipkart to bring its Shopping Affiliate programme to India. The feature allows eligible creators to promote their merchandise by linking their stores to their YouTube channels and tagging products in their videos. However, creators must have at least 10,000 subscribers to be eligible for the programme, which is already operational in many markets including the US, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand and Brazil.

Meta to Use Reuters Content for AI Chatbot

Reuters reported that Meta will be using the publisher’s news content for its AI chatbot in order to answer users’ questions regarding real time news and current events. The deal marks the latest collaboration between a major news publisher and big tech. Neither company has yet disclosed the financial details of the partnership.

Microsoft Expected to Report Slowest Quarterly Revenue Growth in a Year

Microsoft is expected to report its slowest quarterly revenue growth in a year, as financial analysts cite the tech giant’s ramping capital expenditures and lack of evidence on AI investment, among others concerns. However, it has made it clear that its spending on AI will remain high. According to analysts polled by LSEG, the company’s total revenue is expected to have risen 14.1% to a sum of USD$64.51bn (£49.68bn) in the September quarter.
