Apple to Integrate ChatGPT; Google TV Launches Ad Network; Starbucks Embraces Storytelling with Studios Launch

On today’s news digest: Apple to Integrate ChatGPT; Google TV Launches Ad Network; Starbucks Embraces Storytelling with Studios Launch

Among the many companies which have recently struck partnerships with OpenAI, the latest is Apple. The new partnership between both tech giants will see the integration of ChatGPT into iOS, macOS and iPadOS, to avoid users having to “jump between tools”. Siri will be able to tap into ChatGPT’s intelligence (users will be asked before questions, documents or photos are sent), and Siri will present an answer directly. ChatGPT will also be available through Apple’s Writing Tools, including an image creation function to complement written information. The updates will be available later this year.

Google is expanding its offerings for connected TV ads with the launch of Google TV network, increasing advertisers' options to reach viewers on the big screen. The ad network offers in-stream video ad spots across over 125 channels built into Google TV. In order to run ads on Google TV using their existing campaign settings, advertisers can select the appropriate boxes under the Networks section under the Campaigns menu of their Google Ads account.

Meanwhile, Starbucks has decided to step up from the high street with the launch of its own production studio. Starbucks Studios, in partnership with media company Sugar23, will “produce original entertainment and tell stories that deepen connections and spark conversations.” The initiative aims to bring attention to inspiring stories and people, such as emerging artists and changemakers, in order to foster community.
