Azerion Bolsters UK Team with Two New Senior Hires

Azerion, one of Europe’s major digital advertising and entertainment media platforms, has announced a duo of hires; appointing Dean Nagib as commercial director, UK and Jonathan Claxton as an account director.

In his new role, Nagib will create and lead on the UK commercial strategy, including creating bespoke partnerships for both agencies and clients, to deliver growth for the business in the region. In addition, he will play a fundamental role in leading, training, and supporting the UK sales team to accelerate business growth further. Nagib most recently served as VP of sales at carbon intelligence platform Cedara, having previously held the role of commercial director at MIQ.

Nagib stated: “I am delighted to join a company with as much capability and potential as Azerion. Working with a team of such exceptional individuals is an honour, and I hope to help further foster the company’s winning culture. I’m looking forward to accessing what makes Azerion great and delivering award-winning work for our clients and for our people.”

Claxton will focus predominantly on the UK and EMEA markets. His priorities will be maximising revenue across key London agencies and contributing to Azerion’s growth. With previous roles at Future, Dennis, News UK, and The Telegraph, Claxton will bring his vast experience and contacts within display, programmatic and trading to the company.

Jonathan Claxton, Account Director, Azerion

Claxton says of the move: “Azerion has been making waves within the ad tech market for a number of years, most notably with the full acquisition of Hawk last year. The company understands the market and the power of its solution to surface the right creative to the right person in the right environment. I am excited to join the market leader for digital innovation and look forward to assisting them in their ambition to continue to revolutionise this space.”

These appointments follow the recent appointment of Ryan Burnett as international senior account director.

“We are pleased to bring on board two new team members with such a broad knowledge of the industry and passion for what we have achieved – and continue to strive for – at Azerion,” commented Matthew Newcomb, regional director of North America, UK & APAC at Azerion. “Alongside the appointment of Ryan Burnett earlier this year, these moves showcase our longstanding commitment to delivering the best possible solutions to our clients and prospective clients. I have no doubt that Dean and Jonathan will use their drive, in-market knowledge and ingenuity to help Azerion reach even greater heights.”
