Long-Time Media Research Veteran Josh Chasin Joins Adelaide’s Esteemed Board of Advisors

Adelaide, the leader in attention-based media quality measurement, proudly welcomes Josh Chasin to its board of advisors. A renowned figure in market research and audience measurement, Chasin brings a wealth of expertise from his tenure as chief measurability officer at VideoAmp and chief research officer at Comscore.

During his remarkable career, Chasin has pioneered innovative solutions and alternative media currencies, consistently driving industry standards forward. At VideoAmp, he spearheaded the development of the next generation of cross-platform measurement, leading the company to prominence as a major “alternative currency” provider in less than four years. Immediately prior, he spent 14 years at Comscore, where he steered the Media Metrix digital measurement service and the vCE campaign measurement service to Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation.

Before his roles at VideoAmp and Comscore, Chasin owned and operated a highly successful media research consultancy, serving major players like Arbitron (now Nielsen Audio) and Simmons. His extensive experience also includes notable leadership positions at Arbitron, Simmons, and Northstar Interactive.

“Josh has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation and excellence throughout his career,” said Marc Guldimann, CEO of Adelaide. “His unparalleled expertise in cross-channel measurability and proven track record of developing alternative currencies aligns perfectly with Adelaide’s mission to create omnichannel media metrics that prioritise business outcomes for buyers and sellers. He is an extraordinary leader, and his invaluable experience will propel our business to new heights.”

“There is no question that as media audiences continue to fragment and ad dollars must work harder than ever, the quality of the experience the consumer has with the ad exposure will become increasingly important,” said Chasin. “Qualifying impressions must join counting and quantifying impressions as a key component of campaign planning and execution. I’ve been a fan of Adelaide for some time, and it is a privilege to help bring their AU metric to more widespread acceptance and usage.”

Chasin’s contributions to the media industry have earned him prestigious accolades, including the ARF’s 2020 Erwin Ephron Demystification award and Ad Age’s Media Maven award. His addition to Adelaide’s advisory board further solidifies the company’s position as an industry leader at the forefront of evidence-based media quality measurement.
