This week’s digest news featured many stats and figures. The latest Advertising Association/WARC Expenditure Report released its forecast that UK ad spend is expected to grow by 5.9% this year.
eMarketer also reported on ad spend, finding that retail media has increased its share of total US ad spend and is growing faster than either search or social. Meanwhile, the IAB’s latest research revealed that almost 80% of consumer respondents would prefer to see more ads over having to pay to access apps/websites.
In big tech, Amazon terminated its acquisition agreement with iRobot due to EU opposition, and Microsoft announced a 33% profit rise. Apple announced changes it will be making to iOS in Europe to comply with the European Commission’s Digital Market’s Act.
