AlgoriX, a leading independent global media and technology firm, has released a report revealing a significant 30% year-on-year increase in total worldwide ad spending on the AlgoriX Exchange during Black Friday Week. Europe, displaying a staggering growth rate of over 100% in ad expenditure, emerged as the pivotal force behind this surge.
Black Friday Week, the annual shopping festivity spanning November 17 to 28, traditionally experiences a notable boost in ad investments. This phase, culminating with Cyber Monday post the Black Friday buildup, is a golden opportunity for retailers to escalate their advertising campaigns, enticing savvy shoppers on the hunt for the best deals. Despite Black Friday originating in the US, Eastern European countries including Romania, Poland, and the Czech Republic have also shown a significant increase in ad spending. Belarus, Finland, and Ukraine recorded the largest eCPM uplift outside North America. Meanwhile, key Asian markets displayed modest growth due to Black Friday's proximity to Double 11, Asia's leading shopping event.
The report also highlights a prominent trend among advertisers, who increasingly utilise rewarded videos and native ad placements to engage their audiences. Fill rates for these ad formats saw a growth of 59% and 55% respectively during this period.
