Disney Plus warns of crackdown on password sharing

Disney Plus is set to crackdown on password sharing before the end of the year. The streaming service informed subscribers in Canada that it will impose restrictions to “your ability to share your account or login credentials outside of your household,” from 1st November. Details on how Disney Plus will enforce this policy are yet to be revealed.

Norway requests Meta advertising ban be extended to Europe

Norwegian authorities have told the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) that its countrywide ban on Meta’s behavioural ad targeting practices should be implemented across Europe. Since August, the country’s Datatilsynet has been issuing the Facebook-parent daily fines of one million Kroner (~£76,509) for collecting data on its citizens.

ACM rejects Apple’s objections to fines

The Netherlands’ competition watchdog has rejected Apple’s objections against fines the company received for regulatory violations. The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has fined Apple a cumulative €50m (~£43.3m) for failing to comply with its demands to open alternative forms of payment for dating apps in the Netherlands.
