Taboola & Slate Announce the Renewal of Their Exclusive Partnership Until 2028

Taboola, a global leader in powering recommendations for the open web, has announced the renewal of its partnership with the independent online magazine Slate.fr and its site specialising in new economies and new technologies, Korii.fr, for a period of five years. After a first successful collaboration of three years with Taboola, Slate's teams wanted to renew their trust until 2028 to help grow their audiences and diversify their revenues.

Slate.fr is a French online magazine which covers political, economic, diplomatic, technological, cultural, and societal news, founded in 2009. It is an independent media outlet that offers free and open access articles and content such as analysis, columns, surveys, videos etc. In 2019, Slate.fr created Korii.fr.. With a global audience of 3,583,715 unique visitors per month, it attracts diverse audiences thanks to the different topics it offers.

Having been exclusive partners for three years, the teams at Slate.fr and its vertical Korii.fr have worked closely with Taboola to achieve significant results. In three years, this collaboration has enabled the online magazine to increase its click-through rate (CTR) by 45%, its revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) by 40%, and ultimately generate 130% growth in advertising revenues.

Slate.fr teams rely on key Taboola tools recognised for their performance, including Taboola Newsroom, Taboola Feed, Taboola Explore More, and Taboola Widget. With a unique approach on the market thanks to Taboola's specific algorithm combined with the use of artificial intelligence to enable optimal personalisation of content, Slate.fr offers a unique experience to its readers while generating new revenues.

"The strength of the relationship with Taboola's teams over the past eight years, combined with the relevance of the tools offered and the significant results obtained in terms of audience engagement and revenue diversification, have convinced us to pursue this strategic partnership. Our goal over the next five years is to continue to increase average revenue per page and drive reader engagement on our sites," said Nicolas Valverde, director of advertising at Slate.

"We are very pleased to announce the renewal of our partnership with a recognised independent player in the French media landscape like Slate. Publishers trust us in the long term because we only grow if they grow. The results from the previous years of collaboration have demonstrated that, in addition to the performance of our technology in generating significant revenues, we have succeeded in developing audience engagement," concludes Adam Singolda, founder & CEO of Taboola.
