Data privacy discussions dominate this week, as the EU and the US reach an agreement on the transfer of data between the European Union and the United States. This follows news that several tech giants met the EU standard to be considered ‘gatekeepers’ under the Digital Markets Act. 

Meanwhile, in the world of AI, China has officially entered the race, with Baichuan launching its new large language model, Baichuan-13B. Elsewhere, Google has updated its privacy policy to permit the use of public online information for training its AI protocols
