This week witnessed a major blow for TikTok, with the The White House endorsing a bill allowing US authorities to ban the video-sharing app. In a bid to stop the same happening in Europe, the ByteDance-owned company launched ‘Project Clover’ to assuage concerns over how TikTok handles users’ data.
Meanwhile, Japanese marketing giant Dentsu struck a deal to acquire Britain’s Tag for £533m.
