ShowHeroes Group Appoints Amelia Parsons as its New UK Head of Supply

ShowHeroes Group, a global leader in digital video content, tech, and advertising solutions, has announced the appointment of media and ad industry expert, Amelia Parsons, as its new UK head of supply.

Amelia Parsons, UK head of supply, ShowHeroes

A decade ago, Amelia started her career in the industry at a brand advertising company, Collective, as an account manager. She later moved across to her “real home” of publishing supply and worked her way up to become head of publishing at Collective, after the company’s acquisition by Time Inc. UK in 2016.

Collective was subsequently bought by digital entertainment and media platform, Azerion UK, in 2020 and Amelia was promoted to the company’s head of publishing. During this period, Amelia was a regular contributor to leading industry publications and was shortlisted as an ExchangeWire ad tech rising star and New Digital Age’s ad tech collab champion.

In her new role at ShowHeroes, Amelia will bring her wealth of creative, tech, and commercial knowledge to help ShowHeroes grow its UK publisher network and increase its strategic partnerships.

“I’m thrilled to be joining ShowHeroes and look forward to helping take the company’s UK supply network to the next level,” says Amelia Parsons. “2023 is going to be all about helping publishers develop and build their video strategies. They can do this through the three pillars of content, technology, and monetisation, and ShowHeroes is uniquely placed to support publishers in all of these areas. I’m excited to bring these capabilities to more publishers, helping them to not just survive but to thrive as well.”

ShowHeroes’ UK country manager Steven Filler, says: “ShowHeroes has had rapid success in the UK market, with growing demand for our full portfolio of services - including content production, video player, and platform, and our cookieless semantic targeting capabilities. As we move into the next phase of our growth, Amelia is the perfect hire to help ShowHeroes develop broader and deeper relationships with our publisher partners.”

While her role will be UK-focused, Amelia will also help ShowHeroes’ publisher partners, particularly those with global audiences, to take advantage of the company’s growing international footprint. ShowHeroes Group now operates in 28 markets across the US, LATAM, and EMEA, with further global expansion planned for the coming months.
