Smartclip Monetises 47 Samurai’s Connected TV Portfolio Across Europe

smartclip, the ad tech unit of RTL Group, partners with 47 Samurai, a global monetisation agency for programmatic OTT content to market the 47 Samurai portfolio throughout Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland

47 Samurai monetises long-form Connected TV(CTV) content globally. Now, smartclip is supporting 47 Samurai in distributing its AVOD and FAST portfolios across Europe using their extensive knowledge of the diverse markets and a deeply rooted local footprint. Within the German market, 47 Samurai’s content offering is monetised as part of the AdAlliance portfolio. Additionally, RTL AdConnect adds the premium catalogue to its Connected TV offering across European markets.

47 Samurai’s catalogue includes channels such as Nosey, Dust, World Poker Tour, Wild Earth, and more. The move diversifies smartclip’s rapidly growing Connected TV content offering and helps to consolidate a wide variety of Connected TV ad space in local markets, as well as European-wide Connected TV advertising.

Advertisers recognise the potential of the CTV opportunity as it offers a cost-effective way to reach audiences that are viewing less traditional TV while turning to digital video content. CTV combines the impact of TV advertising with the targeting capabilities of digital distribution. Advertisers benefit from increased measurability of long-form video advertising and emerging cross-screen synergies. The cooperation between 47 Samurai and smartclip marks an important step forward in fostering a less fragmented CTV offering for advertisers looking to enter the European digital TV-advertising market.
